Sound design, foley, scoring, and original music — ranging from cute, playful cues for animation to dark, spatial ambient work, built with acoustic instruments, electronics, and field recordings.
Stephanie Poon
Stephanie Poon is a sound designer, composer, and musician creating atmospheric work for music, film, animation, and live performance. Blending classical training with a background in free improvisation, her practice explores texture, space, atmosphere, and emotion through sound design, foley, scoring, original music, and improvised oboe performance.
She studied Music & Sound at Simon Fraser University and is currently studying Radio Arts & Entertainment and Video Production & Editing at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Working with acoustic instruments, field recordings, and tools such as Ableton Live, Logic Pro, and Max/MSP, she builds immersive sound worlds for music and visual media — and is increasingly moving toward interactive and game audio.
